Choosing the right content for your social media platforms can be hard. There are so many different posts out there. How do you stand out?
Know Your Audience
If your main audience is a group of triathletes, posts about weekly mac and cheese recipes may not be the way to go. What does your audience like to consume? Health and wellness tips? Motivational messages? Find out what they’re looking for and cater to their needs.
Share High-Quality Photo and Video
Steer clear of blurry, out of focus, and meaningless photos. You want to share images with a purpose. Photos and videos should inspire, ignite, and encourage your audience to engage with what you’re sharing. You want to share imaging that makes them stop their feed to look at you.
Share Relevant and Timely Content
If it’s National Running Day and you’re a marathon site, you should be sharing something on that day. If you have an athlete that’s a breast cancer survivor in the month of October, they should be highlighted. This will engage your followers in a timely manner and connects them with what’s going on in the world outside of social media.
